Sushi recipe:
A, tools and materials:
1, bamboo mat (it is called ‘Makisu’)
2, sushi rice
3, sushi vinegar
4, seaweed used for sushi (it is called ‘Nori’)
5, Japanese carrots (it is yellow)
6, crab sticks
7, avocado (I do not know whether you can find it now in the supermarket)
8, eggs
9, mayonnaise
10, wasabi
11, cucumbers
* 1-5 and 10 you can buy them in the Chinese shop, and the others you can buy them in the local supermarket.
B, prepare:
1, make the rice, when it is ready, put the sushi vinegar into the rice and mix them. Then you get the Vinegared rice (also called ‘Shari’).
* How many vinegar you want to mix into the rice depends on your taste, but never put too much in to the rice!!
2, make the eggs: firstly, put the eggs into a big container and then whisk/stir. Secondly, put a little oil into the pan, after the pan is warm, put the eggs in. try not to break the eggs when you are making it, it is easy to cut afterwards.
3, warm the crab sticks.
4, cut the Japanese carrots, cucumbers and cooked eggs into strips.
C, Make Sushi:
1, set down the bamboo mat.
2, put the seaweed on the bamboo mat.
3, put the vinegared rice on the seaweed and spread the rice.
4, try to leave some space on the bottom and the top of seaweed without any rice.
5, place all the cut strips, a little bit mayonnaise and a little bit wasabi on the rice (try to put them in the middle)
6, Slowly lift the bamboo mat in order to roll it while keeping.
7, roll it up forward
8 cut the rolled shshi into pieces.
